connection with the island’s raw energy. Volcanic rocks, once forged by fire, were collected and transformed into sculptures with the help of Socotris especially children whose curiosity and spirit fed the growing flame. Two works were meant for Socotra University, but before their placement, power intervened. A self-serving figure accused the sculptures of paganism, burying them under lies and broken deals. The works were for Socotra, to keep its flame alive. Flies that invade every corner, devastating space. Sneaking in, they irritate the audience, triggering movement even from the most indifferent. The more I learn about them, the more I’m inspired by their diversity and unique biological traits. Mimicking their habits, I transformed the room at Dafni Psychiatric Hospital into a space of correlations. Here, balance, size, and visual stimuli are disrupted. Found objects from former inmates were reassembled to provoke discussion on the side effects of psychotropics and the nature of mental illness. A crack in the sphere of reality. The urge to return to traditional means of sculpture emerged on this so-called "Marble Island," and I managed to find a small workshop simply by asking the locals. As an ode to Maria Callas’ centenary, I carved an ear on a marble plate on the island. The transportation and finishing of the piece took place in Neochori Ithomi, Greece, where she was born. "Maria Callas’ Ear" is a submission for the new museum they are planning to establish to honor the diva. My work captures the essence of music and acoustic perception. This sculpture challenges the enduring nature of art and questions our tendencies to align with conventional narratives. The artist, akin to a Kafkaesque protagonist, strives to maintain focus within the confines of his "Raum" (room). Outside, running parallel to the sanctioned realms of mass consumption shaped by formidable entities, we construct an analog collage by navigating the intricate patterns of social media. In a landscape where everyone has a stake in art, yet the powerful dominate its expression and promotion to influential spheres, we turn into metaphorical cockroaches. This transformation extends even to those within our immediate circles. In the realm of contemplation and exploration, we navigate a Berlin-esque terrain—hovering between treasures and detritus. The point is, as with any insect, to remain hidden but be able to enter every house and disturb, as Socrates once said, the resting - bored horse like horse breeders do. In his work, Leandros creates a kind-of-map that navigates his experience as an immigrant in Berlin. A seemingly chaotic collage that includes different aspects of life with pieces that the artist started collecting from the very first day he arrived in Germany is presented. The outcome is a personal yet universally relatable exploration that comments on issues like overexposure to information, politics as a part of our identity, AI, mainstream ‘sellable’ art, and all that through the prism of the artist. I want to witness and reconstruct an image of the city, not only of my own memories but of a collective memory that ultimately shapes it. The ‘’Arch of Galerius’’ widely known as ‘’Kamara’’ is the central point and one of the most important Roman monuments of the city. Even after 1700 years, it remains a symbol and part of daily life. It is used as a meeting point, a place of political and cultural gatherings, a touristic attraction, a drug trafficking area and as ‘’playground’’ for bag-snatchers and lovers alike. I ask one simple question: What is the first image that comes to mind when you think of Thessaloniki? The answers vary and reveal the respondents' relations to the city. The hypothesis that ''Kamara'', the Roman triumphal monument, will prevail as an answer is confirmed and therefore takes the lead in each composition. However, all answers are included in each artwork for the creation of a new historicity. Each piece is unique and has been made during the 5 years I lived in Thessaloniki. This masking symbolizes wholeness, in the expression of the visual language, as a communication form. I m trying to dig up and picture the space of the unspoken, where language has no longer access. In the next step, with the help of my colleague John, we attempt to create a realistic mold of my own face. Every detail has and will be reproduced in the final sculptural installation (C-na-Ψ). But the elements of chance andpreconception intersect, revealing a new perspective. Shekin and Rafael rush to help. All four of us become witnesses and protagonists of the same experiment. What are the motivations for one to persist against all odds when planning falls apart? What happens when one finds oneself powerless under the authority of others? How do we perceive and interpret the need of another and how do we interpret the help that is provided? Questions that recur throughout art history and are documented to map the neuro-synapses. Based on Heideggerian philosophy, it is not used for anything but contemplation, which is the means of approaching freedom (Heidegger, p.102)1. Every statement in its language remains eternal. In materials such as stone or marble, where matter is removed, error does not allow a return to the original position. Here there are no Ctrl+Z’s as there are in digital designer rooms. The error remains apparent - honest and open to face-to-face confrontation. But not always; in many cases it can be amplified. However, it remains. A surgeon cuts and penetrates the body with his instruments. He dramatically reduces the distance and interacts with the material substance. I attempt, with my attention focused on the human vehicle, to locate, x-ray and then map elements that operate and play out, in the distant, borderline obscure scene of the human intellect. [...]Over time, I become aware of, and observe, an indefinable bodily structure, similar to my own. Unformalised internal dialogues and agreements are stored as destinations without me identifying their exact location and the moment of their conception. Which is the power and what’ s the purpose of an ever-increasing self-exposure in virtual space? How does one manage to extract the idea of eternity, from the ephemeral aspect of self? We can choose to remain bright, in translucent anthropomorphic cages. A new form of 'Panopticon', in which the captives remain in the center, with the ability to look through their cages and be observed by their surroundings, but remain locked.
